Bio
Trish Siedlik enters her 21st season as head coach of the Bellevue University volleyball program in 2026 after guiding the Bruins to a 29-5 record, a No. 7 final national ranking and a trip to the quarterfinal round of the NAIA National Championship in 2025.
Siedlik owns a 569-205 (.735) record in 20 seasons at Bellevue and a 693-226 (.754) career mark in 24 seasons as a collegiate head coach.
Bellevue closed the 2025 season with a 20-2 record in Frontier Conference play, finishing second in the regular-season standings and as runner-up in the conference tournament. Siedlik guided BU to its 10th straight appearance in the NAIA National Tournament, her 17th trip to the national tournament with the Bruins and the program’s 18th overall. Bellevue reached the national quarterfinals for the fourth time in school history and finished No. 7 in the final NAIA Women’s Volleyball Coaches’ Top 25 Poll. In addition, Eve Fountain, Kealy Kiviniemi, and Savanna Berger each earned NAIA All-America honors in 2025.
In 2024, the Bruins posted a 32-5 overall record and finished as the NAIA National Runner-Up. Bellevue swept the North Star Athletic Association regular-season and postseason tournament titles and climbed to No. 2 in the final national rankings, the highest final ranking in program history. The runner-up finish also marked the best postseason result in program history. Siedlik was named both the NAIA and AVCA National Coach of the Year.
Siedlik led BU back to the NAIA National Tournament in 2023, finishing with a 26-10 overall record and an 8-4 conference mark. The Bruins ended the year No. 18 in the final national poll, placed second in the NSAA regular season, and finished as tournament runner-up.
She guided the 2022 Bruins to the NAIA National Tournament and a 28-8 overall record while posting a 13-1 NSAA mark. Bellevue finished No. 14 in the final national rankings and shared the NSAA regular-season title with Viterbo.
The 2021 Bruins advanced to the NAIA National Tournament quarterfinals for the first time since the 2000 season, finishing with a 26-8 overall record and a No. 9 final national ranking. Bellevue also placed second in both the North Star Athletic Association regular season and postseason tournament.
During the 2020 season, Siedlik led the Bruins to their first NSAA regular-season championship, finishing with a 12-2 league record and a 17-7 overall mark. She earned NSAA Coach of the Year honors as BU closed the season ranked No. 18 in the nation.
Siedlik guided the 2019 BU volleyball team to a 28-10 overall record and a No. 19 final national ranking. In 2017, she led the Bruins to a 30-13 record, marking the 10th time in her career she guided a team to 30 or more wins in a season.
She led the 2016 Bruins to the NAIA National Tournament, finishing with a 32-12 overall record and a No. 23 final national ranking. The 32 wins were the fourth-highest total in school history.
The 2013 season marked the seventh straight year Siedlik guided the Bruins to the NAIA National Tournament while capturing both the MCAC regular-season and tournament titles. She earned MCAC Coach of the Year honors for the ninth time in her career after leading BU to a 34-9 overall record and a No. 25 final national ranking. It was also her seventh conference coach of the year award in a 10-season span.
She led the Bruins to a school-record 36 wins in 2012, finishing the season with a 36-11 overall record and a No. 17 final national ranking.
Siedlik was also the head coach for the Great Plains Tornados in their inaugural season in 2013. The semi-professional league, sanctioned by USA Volleyball, was comprised of former collegiate athletes.
Prior to Bellevue, Siedlik was the head coach at College of Saint Mary in Omaha from 2002-05. During her four seasons, the Flames compiled a 124-21 record, including a 60-3 conference mark, while winning four MCAC regular-season and tournament titles, two Region IV titles, and making three NAIA National Tournament appearances. CSM advanced to the national quarterfinals in 2004.
In 13 seasons coaching in the MCAC, Siedlik guided her teams to 10 regular-season conference titles and 11 conference tournament championships. She collected six regular-season league titles and seven conference tournament titles at Bellevue.
Siedlik led her squads to the MCAC Tournament title match in 12 of 13 seasons as a head coach, compiling an 11-1 record in the MCAC championship match.
She has coached 45 NAIA All-Americans, 99 first-team all-conference players, 15 conference Players of the Year, 62 all-region athletes and 85 NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
Siedlik played collegiate volleyball at CSM from 1995-98 and was named the MCAC Player of the Year in 1997 while also earning honorable mention All-America honors. She graduated with a computer graphics degree in 1999.
She is married to Michael Siedlik Jr., who is employed with the Omaha Fire Department. They have two sons, Brandon and Luke, and one daughter, Mandy.
In addition to her coaching duties, Siedlik was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Events and Banquets on July 1, 2020.
