Holm earned first team all-Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges (NWAACC) North Region honors in 2011 at Everett Communicty College, collecting a 9-1 record with a 2.26 ERA in 63.2 innings pitched, including 10 starts. His nine wins led the NWAACC.
He also earned 2008 all-NWAACC accolades before sitting out the 2009 and 2010 seasons.
"Ricky is a top end pitcher that has had a great deal of success in the two seasons he has pitched in junior college," said Monlux. "He is an older, veteran pitcher that we expect to be a major contributor to our pitching staff. He has amassed almost 150 K's in 125 innings pitched in two seasons with just around 60 walks. That is a very good ratio for a strikeout pitcher. He also has the ability to play in the outfield and hit as well. We are very excited to be bringing him to Bellevue University this fall."
Holm joins earlier signees Michael Kirkland (Sand Springs, Okla./NCCC/Charles Page HS), Kenny McKee (Sapulpa, Okla./NCCC/Sapulpa HS), Chandler McLaren (Guelph, Ontario/Douglas College/GCVI), Sean Felt (Ralston, Neb./Reinhardt/Fort Scott CC/Ralston HS), Devin Ferguson (Lacey, Wash./Centralia/North Thurston HS), Nate Mullins (Snohomish, Wash./Everett CC/Snohomish HS), Brian Embery (Emporia, Kan./Wayland Baptist/Lower Columbia/Auburn HS) and Kyle Kinman (Omaha, Neb./Butler CC/Northwest HS) in the latest recruiting class.
The 2012 Bruins finished with a 40-21 overall record, winning the MCAC regular season with a 17-3 mark, advancing the NAIA National Tournament for the second-straight year.
