2021 Season (Freshman): Named a first-team NAIA All-American as well as first-team AVCA all-North Central Region and first team all-NSAA ... Led the Bruins with 3.55 kills per set and was third with a .263 attack percentage ... A six rotation player, Fountain finished second on the team with 439 digs and fourth with 27 service aces ... Led the team with 20 double-doubles ... Her 3.55 kills per set led the conference, while her .263 attack percentage ranked fourth ... Recorded 27 matches with double-figure kill totals ... Registered a season-high 20 kills along with 14 digs in BU's five-set win over No. 8-ranked Northwestern on Sept. 7 ... Named the NSAA's Attacker and Defender of the Week on Sept. 27.

Galas highlights five BU selections on All-Midlands Volleyball Team

Junior setter Olivia Galas was named the honorary captain of the 2021 Omaha World-Herald all-Midlands Volleyball team, highlighting five Bruin selections on the annual squad. The OWH all-Midlands team honors the top players from NAIA and NCAA Division III programs within the state of Nebraska. Freshman outside hitter Eve Fountain was also named to the first team. Honorable mention selections from BU included junior outside hitter Sierra Athen, freshman middle blocker Haley Fleischman, and freshman libero Taylan Keefer.

Junior setter Olivia Galas (Bellevue, Neb.), freshman outside hitter Eve Fountain (Omaha, Neb.), junior outside hitter Sierra Athen (Red Oak, Iowa), and freshman middle blocker (Haley Fleischman) all earned NAIA and AVCA All-American honors in an announcement made today by both organizations. Galas and Fountain earned first-team honors while Athen was named to the third team. Fleischman garnered honorable mention accolades.

The Bellevue University volleyball squad landed four members on the all-North Star Athletic Association first team in an announcement made tonight in conjunction with the NSAA Volleyball Tournament. In addition, junior Olivia Galas was named the NSAA Setter of the Year for the fourth time in her career and freshman middle blocker  Haley Fleischman earned NSAA Freshman of the Year honors.  First-team all-conference members from BU included: Galas, Fleischman, freshman outside hitter Eve Fountain, and junior outside hitter Sierra Athen. In addition, junior middle blocker Sienna Black garnered second-team recognition.

The Bruins dropped the opener to host No. 24 Grand View 3-1 (25-19, 25-17, 17-25, 25-23) before rebounding with a four-set win over Oklahoma City University (18-25, 25-21, 25-18, 25-18).

Trojans upset Bellevue in five sets

Dakota State University rode the solid hitting performances of outside hitters Maddie Polzin and Sydney Schell as the Trojans upset Bellevue University, 3-2 (23-25, 25-20, 25-16, 17-25, 15-8) Wednesday night in North Star Athletic Association action at the DSU Memorial Fieldhouse. 

Seniors Jorie Lincoln and Payton Fehringer were honored following the match on Senior Day.
Bruins rebound with sweep over Waldorf

After seeing their eight-match winning streak snapped last night against No. 2 Viterbo, the eighth-ranked Bellevue University volleyball team rebounded with a convincing 3-0 (25-11, 25-22, 25-16) sweep over visiting Waldorf University Saturday afternoon in the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center. 

Olivia Galas eclipsed the 1,000-dig mark for her career.
Second-ranked Viterbo hands BU four-set loss

Second-ranked Viterbo University ran its winning streak to 18 matches with a 3-1 (25-23, 23-25, 25-23, 25-19) victory over No. 8-ranked Bellevue University Friday night in North Star Athletic Association action at the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center. 

Eve Fountain registered a match-high 12 kills on .321 hitting.

Eve Fountain and Jacki Apel combined for 22 kills to lead the eighth-ranked Bellevue University volleyball squad to a 3-0 (25-21, 25-16, 25-19) victory over visiting Valley City State University Saturday afternoon in North Star Athletic Association action at the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center.

The eighth-ranked Bellevue University volleyball squad recorded a pair of sweeps over visiting Dickinson State University on Friday in North Star Athletic Association action at the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center. BU won the opener 25-25-20, 25-13, 25-19 before dominating the nightcap, 25-13, 25-15, 25-15.

Junior outside hitter Sierra Athen pounded 13 kills on .455 hitting as the 11th-ranked Bellevue University volleyball team recorded its fifth-straight sweep with a 25-16, 25-10, 25-22 victory over Peru State College in non-conference action Tuesday night in the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center. 

Eve Fountain was named both the NSAA Defender and Attacker of the Week, while Olivia Galas garnered NSAA Setter of the Week honors.
Fountain, Galas help Bruins sweep weekly conference honors

Freshman outside hitter Eve Fountain and junior setter Olivia Galas were both honored Monday by the North Star Athletic Association office, helping the Bruins sweep the weekly conference volleyball awards. Fountain was named both the NSAA Attacker and Defender of the Week. Galas was honored as the NSAA Setter of the Week as BU earned a pair of conference road victories over the weekend.

Sierra Athen became the eighth player in school history to record 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in a career.

The 17th-ranked Bellevue University volleyball team won a pair of matches on Friday at the Big Sky Challenge including a 3-1 (25-22, 22-25, 25-18, 25-15) win over Carroll College and a 3-0 (25-15, 25-17, 25-23) sweep over No. 6 Eastern Oregon.

The Bellevue University volleyball team is picked to finish second in the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) regular season in an announcement made today by the conference office. Viterbo is the coaches' pick to win the 2021 NSAA volleyball title. It is the seventh-straight year that the V-Hawks are picked to win the league title.
