Gomez honored with Frontier Conference Grit Award
HELENA, Mont. – Bellevue University freshman Isabella Gomez has been named the Frontier Conference Grit Award recipient for women's golf, the league office announced in partnership with the Montana Army National Guard.
The award recognizes student-athletes who demonstrate mental toughness, integrity, and perseverance both in competition and in their daily lives.
Gomez, a freshman business major from Colombia, was selected for her unwavering commitment to excellence and her ability to inspire others through her leadership and resilience.
Bellevue head women's golf coach Craig Marsh highlighted Gomez's exceptional character in his nomination, noting that her journey is defined by her purposeful response to challenges.
"Isabella Gomez exemplifies grit and resilience through her consistent ability to confront adversity with determination, composure, and an unwavering commitment to growth," Marsh stated. "Her journey has been defined not by the absence of challenges, but by the way she has responded to them with maturity, discipline, and purpose".
Coach Marsh emphasized several key areas where Gomez stands out:
