Bio
Craig Marsh enters his third season as head coach of the Bellevue University women’s golf program in 2025-26. Since arriving in July 2023, Marsh has continued the Bruins’ winning tradition while elevating the program’s national competitiveness.
In 2024-25, Marsh guided the Bruins to a 14th-place finish at the NAIA National Championship — the program’s best showing on the national stage since 2016. Bellevue also captured its sixth consecutive North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) title, continuing its dominance in conference play. Marsh was named NSAA Coach of the Year for the second straight season after leading the team to four tournament titles during the campaign.
At the NSAA Championship, all five BU golfers finished in the top seven to earn first-team all-conference honors. Maria Pinedo led the way, earning NSAA Golfer of the Year accolades.
Marsh made an immediate impact in his debut season (2023-24), leading Bellevue to its fifth-straight conference title and 10th all-time appearance at the NAIA National Championship. That squad also claimed five team titles, setting the tone for continued success under his leadership.
Prior to his arrival at Bellevue, Marsh spent two seasons as the head coach at NCAA Division II Black Hills State University (2021–23), where he developed a competitive program and laid the groundwork for long-term growth.
Before that, Marsh led the Hastings College women’s golf program, where his recruiting and fundraising efforts led to key upgrades, including a new indoor hitting bay with a flight monitor to enhance player development.
He began his coaching career at Kelly Walsh High School in Casper, Wyo., where he built a dynasty in both the boys’ and girls’ programs. Marsh guided the boys’ team to three Wyoming Class 4A state championships (2012, 2017, 2018) and led the girls’ team to three titles as well (2016, 2017, 2018). He was named Wyoming Class 4A Boys Coach of the Year three times and Girls Coach of the Year five times.
A Class A PGA Member since 2005, Marsh is actively involved in both the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) and the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA). His coaching philosophy is rooted in strong fundamentals, competitive experience, and player-centered development.
As a player, Marsh captured the 1997 Wyoming Open with a 6-under total (67-71-66) and competed professionally on the Heart of Texas Tour (2000–02) and the Dakotas Professional Golf Tour. He was also active in the AJGA and Ping Junior Tour during his amateur days and finished as Wyoming state runner-up in high school.
Marsh earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Professional Golf Management from Methodist University in 2000, where he was also a member of the golf team.
