Pinedo, Noel-Traissac garner CSC Academic All-District honors
In an announcement made today by the College Sports Communicators (CSC), junior Maria Pinedo and sophomore Aaricia Noel-Traissac earned CSC Academic All-District accolades and are now eligible for CSC Academic All-American honors.
GREENWOOD, Ind. -- In an announcement made today by the College Sports Communicators (CSC), junior Maria Pinedo and sophomore Aaricia Noel-Traissac earned CSC Academic All-District accolades and are now eligible for CSC Academic All-American honors.
Student-athletes competing in men's and women's golf from NCAA Division I, II, and III, as well as the NAIA, were recognized for this honor. To receive Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be a sophomore academically and maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA.
Pinedo sports a 3.982 GPA in Business Administration. She was named the NSAA Golfer of the Year and earned first-team all-NSAA honors for the third straight year. Pinedo led the Bruins with a 79.9 strokes-per-round average and had eight top-five finishes on the year. She won two events on the season, the Bronco Fall Invite and the Kaitlyn Erickson Doane Invite and was named the NSAA Golfer of the Week on six occasions. Pinedo earned NSAA Scholar-Athlete and Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors in 2023-24.
Noel-Traissac is majoring in Business Administration and has a 3.883 GPA. She garnered first-team all-NSAA honors after finishing in a tie for fourth place at the NSAA Championships. Noel-Traissac posted three top-five finishes and four top-10 finishes on the season. She was third on the team with an 85.3 strokes-per-round average. Noel-Traissac was named an NSAA Scholar-Athlete and a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete this season.
The CSC Academic All-American teams for golf will be announced on July 17.
The 2023-24 Bruins won the program's fifth-straight NSAA Tournament title, advancing to the NAIA National Championships for the 10th time in school history.
