2020 Season (Junior): Established a school-record time in the 8K with a time of 26:06.9 at the Briar Cliff Invitational (Oct. 3) ... Also ran under 28 minutes at the Morningside Invitational (Sept. 19) and the Herb Blakely Invitational (Sept. 12) with times of 27:22.5 and 27:46.0, respectively ... Earned all-conference honors in outdoor track in both the 1,500 and 10,000 meter events ... Desyebelew Debesh had an outstanding, day cutting 1:18 from his personal and season's best, running 26:06.9 and placing 40th in the 186-runner field. In the process, Debesh established a new Bruin school record for 8K shattering the existing mark of 27:02 held by Chris Casart.
The Bruin men’s cross country team placed two runners in the top ten at today’s 25th annual Dean White Invitational held on the Doane University campus. As he has done all season, Des Debesh led the Bruins with a ninth-place finish running 28:20.8 for the eight kilometer, three loop course run in warm and breezy conditions.

Led by Desyebelew Debesh and Edrei Murillo, the Bellevue University men's cross country team finished in fifth place in the season-opening Dordt University Sunflower Opener Saturday morning at the Dordt 8K Cross Country Course.
