Rivera Camargo named to CSC Academic All-District team
GREENWOOD, Ind. -- The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced their 2025 Academic All-District Women's Cross Country/Track teams on Tuesday, with Alicia Rivera Camargo of Bellevue University earning recognition for her accomplishments both academically and athletically.
Student-athletes across NCAA Divisions I, II, and III, as well as the NAIA, were recognized. To be eligible for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be at least sophomores academically and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.
Rivera Camargo, a junior from Bogotá, Colombia, earned Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors in both 2024 (cross country) and 2025 (track & field). During the track season, she recorded a season-best time of 20:41.53 in the 5,000 meters at the Sioux City Relays and also competed in the 1,500 meters with a top time of 5:19.52 at the NSAA Outdoor Championships.
In cross country, Rivera Camargo posted a season-best 5K time of 19:41.7 at the Augie Twilight and a 6K best of 25:07.0 at the Blazing Tiger NAIA Classic.
She is now eligible for CSC Academic All-American honors, which will be announced on Tuesday, July 15.
