High School: Competed at Millard South High School under coaches Jordan Fuglestad (2018, 2019), Dustin Liewellyn (2017), and Simon Falcon (2016) ... A four-time Nebraska State Cross Country Meet qualifier, twice earning all-state honors (2016, 2018) ... As a freshman, she ran to a 12th place finish with a time of 19:37 ... She capped her freshman campaign with a 19:07 personal best for the 5K at the NXN Heartland Regional ... After a 29th place State Meet finish as a sophomore, Hayden returned to the medal stand as a junior with a seventh-place finish in 19:31 ... Recorded four top 10 finishes at Class A District Meets, capped by a third-place finish as a junior and turned in her best Metro Conference showing as a freshman, finishing fourth ... Sophomore Madison Nelson claimed her second NSAA individual title at Friday’s cross country championship hosted by Dickinson State at the Heart River Golf Course. Cool morning temperatures forced a 90 minute delay to the start time but bright sunshine and a stiff breeze greeted the 49 runners who toed the line at 1:15 PM.
