Galas honored again with weekly conference honors

For the 10th time this season and the 34th time in her BU career, senior Olivia Galas has garnered North Star Athletic Association Setter of the Week honors for her performances in the Bruins' two road sweeps at Presentation College and Mayville State University.

MADISON, S.D. -- For the 10th time this season and the 34th time in her BU career, senior Olivia Galas has garnered North Star Athletic Association Setter of the Week honors for her performances in the Bruins' two road sweeps at Presentation College and Mayville State University. 

Galas averaged 12.83 assists and 5.17 digs per set while recording double-doubles in both matches. She finished with 38 assists, 14 digs, two blocks, and a service ace in the victory over the Saints. She followed that up with 39 assists, 17 digs, and four kills in the win over MSU. 

She leads the Bruins with 16 double-doubles on the season and three triple-doubles. 

Galas currently leads the NSAA and ranks sixth nationally with 11.07 assists per set.  

The Bruins return home this Friday, Nov. 4, for a 7 p.m. NSAA matchup against Waldorf University. The Bruins' five seniors, Brooklyn Hundt, Nicole Meyer, Rosa Reed-Bouley, Sierra Athen, and Olivia Galas, will be honored following the match.
