Bellevue swept IU Kokomo (25-14, 25-13, 25-15) to close out the 2019 season in the final pool play match for both teams on Thursday.
The No. 23-ranked Bellevue University volleyball team was again dealt a heart-breaking loss as No. 5-ranked Southern Oregon came back from a 2-1 deficit and trailing in the fourth set to hand the Bruins 3-2 in second match in Pool E Play for both teams on Wednesday morning.
Bellevue jumped out to a 2-0 lead but a strong third set from Central Methodist spark a rally that saw the Eagles come back for a 3-2 win to open pool play at the NAIA National Tournament.
The Bruins' opponents in Pool E include No. 5 Southern Oregon, No. 12 Central Methodist, and IU-Kokomo. Bellevue advanced to the final site with a 3-0 sweep over Lincoln College on Saturday at Bellevue West High School.
