Volleyball adds Lambrecht to 2014 recruiting class
The Bellevue University volleyball program has announced today the signing of 5-8 middle blocker Hope Lambrecht (Wood River, Neb./Wood River HS).
BELLEVUE, Neb. -- The Bellevue University volleyball program, under head coach Trish Siedlik, has announced today the signing of 5-8 middle blocker Hope Lambrecht (Wood River, Neb./Wood River HS) to a letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic careers at Bellevue beginning in the fall of 2014.
The daughter of Kirt and Gale, Lambrecht was coached by Peg Heise at Wood River High School. Her brother, Garret is on the Morningside College wrestling team.
Lambrecht earned second team all-state honors by the Lincoln Journal-Star and honorable mention accolades by the Omaha World-Herald in 2012.
"Hope is not a tall middle, but is fast and plays big. Her energy and competitiveness will come natural with our group," said head coach Trish Siedlik. "We are excited to sign a player from the successful Wood River program under head coach Peg Heise."
She also lettered in basketball and track. Lambrecht holds the school record in the triple jump (34' 8'').
Lambrecht, who played club volleyball for South Central, also excelled in the classroom and was an honor roll student at WRHS.
Lambrecht joins earlier signee Hannah Taylor (Hallam, Neb./Lincoln Christian HS) to the 2014 recruiting class.
