Four Bruins named Daktronics-NAIA Volleyball Scholar-Athletes

SIOUX CITY, Iowa - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced that a total of 304 volleyball players have been named 2009 Daktronics-NAIA Volleyball Scholar-Athletes. Four Bruins were named to the exclusive team, including seniors Gabby Pfannenstiel and Rachel Muller, and juniors Katy Gregory and Jaclyn Thorson.
Nominated by each institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status to qualify.
The Bruins finished the 2009 season with a 29-10 overall record, a 14-0 MCAC mark, and the program's third-straight appearance at the NAIA Volleyball National Championship.
