Honors and Awards

2020 Season (Senior): Ran a season-best time in the 5k (24:31.7) at the Briar Cliff Open on October 3... Finished with a season-best time in the 1500-meter run (6:42.18) at the NSAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships ... Ran a season-best time in the 800-meter run (3:09.57) at the Sioux City Relays on April 16 ... Selected as BU's representative for the NAIA Champion of Character for the 2021 Outdoor Track and Field season.

2019 Season (Junior): Has been with the program since its inception and has two varsity letters ... Made huge improvements since her initial race and now holds a 5K personal best of 22:51 ... Ohe track, Dayana’s highest finish was at the 2019 NSAA outdoor track meet where she was 4th in the 1500 meters ... An excellent student majoring in Biology, Dayana is a member of the Bruins cybersecurity competition team and has also been a contributor to a paper published in a scientific journal.

2018 Season (Sophomore): Participated in all seven of the team's events ... Ran a season-best time of 24:02.5 at the Briar Cliff Invite ... Finished in 37th place at the NSAA Championships with a time of 24:43.0 ... Earned NSAA Scholar-Athlete honors.

Bruins Earn All-Conference Honors in Three Events at NSAA Championships

The Bruin Distance Track squad came home with three all-Conference medals at the NSAA outdoor track and field championships hosted by Waldorf University on Thursday and Friday, May 13-14. All-Conference awards are presented to the top three finishers and top relay team at the meet.

Lorena Ramirez broke her own school record in the 1,500-meter run, finishing in 5:24.52.
