BU announces Djurkovic as first signing of 2026
BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Bellevue University head women's soccer coach Tom White announced the signing of Larisa Djurkovic (Podgorica, Montenegro) to a letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic careers at BU beginning next fall.
Djurkovic is the daughter of Dragona Djurkovic and plays her ŽFK Budućnost under the guidance of Dusan Globarevic. Larisa currently attends Sports Gymnasium High School.
During her club career Larisa has served as captain as well as helping them qualify for the women's champions league.
Djurkovic has also represented her country through various age levels from U15 to U19 and helped them reach the European Championship.
Coach White on Djurkovic:
"Larisa will be an exciting addition to the squad who will make an immediate impact. She will give us a lot of firepower going forward. Moreover, Larisa has exceptional hunger, technique, and maturity for such a young player which has helped from international duty. We can't wait to bring her in with the Bruins at present as well as those future bruins this fall.
The Bruins closed out the season with a 12-3-2 overall mark, going 2-0-0 against CAC foes during the regular season, and reached the Continental Athletic Conference Championship match for the fifth-straight season.
