Perez, Cura collect Academic All-District honors from CSC
GREENWOOD, Ind. – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced their 2025 women's soccer Academic All-District Teams Tuesday afternoon. Among those recognized were Bellevue University's Aileen Perez (Thornton, Colo.) and Abril Cura (Manresa, Spain).
Student-athletes from NCAA Division I, II, and III, as well as the NAIA, were recognized for this honor.
Perez, a senior midfielder majoring in Business Administration, holds a 3.81 cumulative GPA. She scored eight goals and totaled five assists as she ranked fourth on the team with 21 total points. Her eight goals were good for third while her five assists were tied for fourth on the squad. She bagged a trio of game-winning goals, accounting for the game-deciding strikes at Dakota Wesleyan, at College of Saint Mary, and against Harris-Stowe State.
Cura, a sophomore goalkeeper majoring in Kinesiology and minoring in Athletic Coaching, holds a 4.00 cumulative GPA. She started all 17 games in goal for BU this season, posting a 1.45 goals against average and totaling 33 saves for a .589 save percentage while posting four shutouts and combining on two others. She posted at a season-high five saves in a win over Harris-Stowe State on the Bruins' Senior Night.
To be nominated, the student-athlete must be a sophomore both academically and athletically. They must have competed in 90% of the institution's games/contests/sets played or must start in at least 66% of the games/contests/sets. The student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale). Graduate students must have a minimum of 3.50 for both their graduate program GPA and their undergraduate GPA.
Eligible student-athletes will move onto the CSC Academic All-America ballot, with the announcement of those teams coming out on December 10th.

The Bruins closed out the season with a 12-3-2 overall mark, going 2-0-0 against CAC foes, and reached the Continental Athletic Conference Championship match for the fifth-straight season.
