Tex collects CAC Offensive honors
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Bellevue University sophomore forward Baylee Tex (Papillion, Neb.) has been named the Continental Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the CAC office on Monday morning.
Tex scored a pair of goals, including the game-winner in BU's 4-2 victory over Mount Marty University on Saturday. She found the back of the net in the 29th minute to break a 1-1 tie and again in the 72nd when she converted the game-winner.
The weekly award is the first of Tex's career after she was an honorable mention all-CAC selection a season ago. With two more wins last week, the Bruins continue their unbeaten start to the season, improving to 4-0-2.
Bellevue travels across town on Wednesday, Sept. 17 for a 3 p.m. match against the College of Saint Mary from Heritage Park.
