Bruins land Caribbean midfielder Berthelot
Anouchka Berthelot (Morne a l’eau, Guadeloupe) has signed a letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic careers at Bellevue beginning next fall.
BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Bellevue University head women's soccer coach Tom White has announced the signing of Anouchka Berthelot (Morne a l'eau, Guadeloupe) to a letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic careers at Bellevue beginning next fall.
The daughter of Rene and Viviane Berthelot, Anouchka attended Lycee Gerville Reache High School.
Anouchka played her club soccer at SC Toulon under the guidance of Ines Dahou and Terry Folin before coming over to the states where she played at Cowley CC and Alcorn State. During her period with Cowley Community College, she earned second team all-conference and athlete of the week at Alcorn State University.

"We are very excited that Anouchka will be joining us this fall. She offers a wealth of experience and will give us more depth within our midfield unit. Anouchka will raise the level of competition throughout the squad with her technical ability and tactical understanding".
Berthelot joins earlier signees Alaina Meads (Glenwood, Iowa), Lauren Chetty (Aldershot, England), Thea Engen (Lillehammer, Norway), and Alessia Ricciardi (Milan, Italy) in the Bruins' 2023 recruiting class.
Bellevue concluded the 2022 season with a 13-4-2 overall record and won both the CAC Regular-Season and Tournament Championships. The Bruins made their second-straight trip to the NAIA National Tournament and seventh overall, putting up a spirited performance against #2-ranked Marian University.
