SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. -- John Brown University scored 4:51 into overtime as they defeated the Bellevue University women's soccer team 1-0 Friday afternoon at the JBU Invitational at Alumni Field.
John Brown improved to 2-2-0 while Bellevue dropped to 1-2-3 this season.
Whitney Brannan scored the game's only goal on a free kick at the 94:51 mark of the match.
Kristen Morency recorded three saves for the Golden Eagles. Caitlin Stier suffered the loss for BU and tallied five saves.
The Golden Eagles outshot BU, 19-7, while the Bruins held a 4-2 edge in corner kicks. Yaritza Estrada led BU with three shots.
