OMAHA, Neb. -- Nicola Hermes goal in the 74th minute gave Midland Lutheran College a 1-0 win over Bellevue University in women's soccer action Sunday night at Tranquility Park.
Bellevue fell to 8-3 on the year with loss. The Warriors improved to 7-3.
Hermes received a pass from Alexa Staehr and raced past two Bellevue defenders and then found the back of the net, beating the Bruins' goalkeeper Sarah Boone.
Bellevue outshot Midland 12-10 and held a 5-3 advantage in shots on goal.
Boone fell to 7-3 after the loss.
The Bruins will travel to Des Moines, Iowa on Saturday, Oct. 10, for a 2 p.m. match against St. Ambrose University.
