Bruins Capture Team Title at Statesmen Invitational
SILVIS, Ill. — Behind a steady team effort that placed all four scorers inside the top 13 individually, the Bellevue University women's golf team claimed the team title at The Statesmen Invitational on Tuesday afternoon at the TPC Deere Run.
The Bruins shot a final-round 340 to finish with a 36-hole total of 676 (+100), pulling away from host William Penn (+106) to win by six shots. Clarke University (+116) rounded out the top three in the nine-team, 47-golfer field.

Bellevue Individual Results
Shreya Suresh and Patricija Jakovleva tied for 5th place at +21, both finishing inside the top five individually.
Suresh followed her opening 80 with a second-round 85, registering six pars and two birdies across her final round.
Jakovleva posted rounds of 81 and 84. She made one birdie and recorded eight pars on Tuesday.
Isabella Gomez placed 12th overall at +28 (84-88). Her second round included five pars.
Nellie Forsen rebounded from her first-round 91 to shoot 83 in the final round, jumping five spots to finish in 13th place at +30. She made eight pars and birdied the par-4 8th hole.
