Pinedo, Noel-Traissac named to CSC Academic All-District team
GREENWOOD, Ind. -- The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced their 2025 Academic All-District Women's Golf Teams on Tuesday, with Maria Pinedo and Aaricia Noel-Traissac of Bellevue University earning recognition for their excellence on the course and in the classroom.
Student-athletes competing in men's and women's golf from NCAA Division I, II, and III, as well as the NAIA, were recognized for this honor. To receive Academic All-District recognition, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.
Pinedo, a senior from Neiva, Colombia, was named the NSAA Golfer of the Year and earned first-team all-NSAA honors after a dominant final season. She also garnered Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors and was a four-time NSAA Golfer of the Week (Sept. 11, Sept. 25, Mar. 11, Apr. 24). Pinedo led both Bellevue and the NSAA with a 77.9 scoring average across 32 rounds. She captured individual medalist honors at the NSAA Championships, shooting 295 (+9), and at the OUAZ Fall Invitational, finishing 1-under par (215). Additional highlights included a runner-up finish at the Bent Tree Intercollegiate and a tie for fourth at the Kaitlyn Erickson Doane Invite. She capped her season with a tie for 18th at the NAIA National Championship, posting a four-round total of 302 (+14).
Noel-Traissac, a junior from Ablon-sur-Seine, France, was a first-team all-NSAA selection and also earned Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete distinction. She competed in all 12 tournaments for the Bruins, finishing with a scoring average of 83.5 over 32 rounds. Noel-Traissac placed fifth at the NSAA Championships, posting a four-round total of 309 (+23), highlighted by opening rounds of 72 and 71. She also finished 15th at the Bent Tree Intercollegiate, tied for 17th at the Nebraska Intercollegiate, and opened the season with a top-20 showing at the Mount Marty Invitational. At the NAIA National Championship, she finished 74th individually with a score of 328 (+40), helping Bellevue secure a top-15 team finish.
Both Pinedo and Noel-Traissac are now eligible for CSC Academic All-American honors, which will be announced on Tuesday, July 8.
The Bellevue University women's golf team concluded the 2025 season with a 14th-place finish at the NAIA National Championship after winning the North Star Athletic Association title for the sixth-straight season. The 14th-place finish marked the program's highest at Nationals since 2016, when BU finished in eighth place.
