Bruins finish 14th at NAIA National Championship
YPSILANTI, Mich. -- The Bellevue University women's golf team concluded the 2025 season with a 14th-place finish at the NAIA National Championship Friday afternoon at the 5,895-yard, par 72 Eagle Crest Golf Course. The Bruins carded a final round team score of 317 (+29) and finished the tournament with a team total of 1,247 (314, 310, 306, 317).
The 14th-place finish marked the highest finish at Nationals since the 2016 season, when BU finished in eighth.
Top-ranked University of British Columbia ran away with the team title at 17-over par, 24 strokes ahead of second-place Keiser University.
Senior Maria Pinedo was the top BU golfer on the day, finishing with a 4-over 76 to put her at 14-over for the tournament, good for a tie for 18th place. It marked the best individual finish for a Bruin since the 2016 season when Wendy Monfort finished in a tie for 11th place. Pinedo's steady round was highlighted by a birdie and 12 pars. She birdied the par-5 16th hole for the second time in the tournament.
Freshman Tilde-Li Andersson matched her third-round score with a 5-over 77, putting her at 21-over for the tournament and in a tie for 40th place. For the second-straight day, Andersson birdied her first hole, the par-5 10th hole. She also collected a birdie on the par-4 third hole.
Senior Chloe Blandinieres collected an 8-over 80, which put her in a tie for 60th place at 30-over par for the tournament. She had one birdie and nine pars in the fourth round.
Junior Aaricia Noel-Traissac registered a 12-over 84, completing the tournament at 40-over par, good for 74th place. Her 41-over-four-round total put her in 75th place. Her round was highlighted by recording eight-straight pars on the back nine, where she registered a 1-over 37.
Senior Ilysia Ibnu rounded out the Bruins' scoring on the day, finishing with a 12-over 84. She birdied the par-4 12th hole while recording six pars on the day.
British Columbia's Jessica Ng won the individual title at 5-under par while SCAD Savannah's Sharon Shan finished second at 2-under.
