Bruins tab Marsh to lead women's golf program
Bellevue University athletic director Ed Lehotak is pleased to announce the hiring of Craig Marsh as the third women’s golf coach in program history.

BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Bellevue University athletic director Ed Lehotak is pleased to announce the hiring of Craig Marsh as the third women's golf coach in program history.
Marsh arrives at BU following three seasons, 2021-23, as the head women's golf coach at NCAA Division II Black Hills State University.
He takes over a team that has now won four-straight North Star Athletic Association Championships and has qualified for the NAIA National Tournament in nine of the past 10 seasons.
Marsh said, of his hiring, "I am excited and honored to become the Head Women's Golf Coach at Bellevue University! I am thankful to be joining a team and a university with such an esteemed reputation for both academic success and athletic excellenc."
"We are pleased to announced Craig as the new women's golf coach," stated Athletic Director Ed Lehotak who went on to say, "He brings a lot of experience at both the NAIA and Division II level. We are excited to have him on staff and lead the next chapter of women's golf at BU."
Prior to his time at Black Hills, Marsh spent three years at the helm for Hastings College. While with the Broncos, he had success recruiting student-athlete and fundraising to improve the school's golf program. That success allowed the program to substantially improve their indoor practicing conditions, including the addition of an indoor flight monitor.
Marsh, a PGA Professional, began his coaching journey at Kelly Walsh High School in Casper, Wyo. While at Kelly Walsh, he led both the boys (2012, 2017, 2018) and girls team (2016, 2017, 2018) to a trio of state titles that included dual championships in both 2017 and 2018. For his efforts, Marsh was named the Wyoming Class 4A Boys Coach of the Year three times and Class 4A Girls Coach of the Year five times.
Of his coaching philosophy, Marsh stated, "I firmly believe that the development of student-athletes as both individuals and team members is crucial to creating a successful program. I look forward to collaborating with the team to cultivate a culture of growth, teamwork, and achievement both on and off the course. I am tremendously excited about the opportunity to work with a very talented and dedicated group of young women here at Bellevue University."

He is a member of both the Golf Coaches Association of American (GCAA) and Women's Golf Coach Association (WGCA), as well as a member of the PGA of America, where he was elected to Class A Membership in 2005.
Marsh also brings a distinguished resume as a competitive golfer. He was the Wyoming State runner-up in high school, played on both the PING Junior Tour (1992-96) and the AJGA (1993-96). He was the Wyoming Open Champion in 1997, shooting a 6-under 204 (67-71-66).
A graduate of Methodist University, Marsh earned his bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Professional Golf Management in 2000.
While at Methodist, he was a member of the powerhouse Monarchs men's golf team which has claimed 13 NCAA Division III National Championships and five Runners-Up trophies. During his time on campus, Methodist won three-straight National Titles and finished second during his senior season.
Upon graduating, Marsh went on to a professional career playing as a member of the Heart of Texas Tour from 2000-02 as well as the Dakotas Professional Golf Tour.
This past season, the Bruins claimed yet another North Star Athletic Association Championship and placed 21st at the NAIA National Tournament.
