Liddick named LPGA Central Section Coach of the Year
The LPGA has named Bellevue University women's golf coach Shelly Liddick the 2012-13 LPGA Central Section Coach of the Year.
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) has named Bellevue University women's golf coach Shelly Liddick the 2012-13 LPGA Central Section Coach of the Year. Liddick also received this honor in 2011-12.
The LPGA Teaching and Club Professional (T&CP) membership selects its annual section award winners for Teacher, Professional, Coach and Junior Golf Achievement awards.
Liddick guided the 2012-13 Bruins to the MCAC championship and advanced to the NAIA National Tournament. BU finished the season ranked No. 11 and Liddick was named the MCAC Coach of the Year for the second-straight season.
The LPGA T&CP membership's five sections: Central, Midwest, Northeast, Southeast and Western annually select winners in each of the four categories.
The LPGA T&CP National Awards Selection Committee will select the overall national award winner in each category from among the section award winners. The national winners will be announced in the coming weeks.
