The Bellevue University women's basketball team fought back from a 20-point second-half deficit, pulling to within two points with a chance to win or tie on the final possession, before falling just short, 70-66, in the Bruins' first game of the Hampton Inn Bruin Classic being played at the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center.

No. 18 Dakota State pulls away for 80-72 OT win

The 18th-ranked Dakota State University women's basketball team outscored Bellevue University, 15-7, in overtime as DSU recorded an 80-72 victory in the opening North Star Athletic Association game of the season for both teams.
