Cimino reaches 600-win milestone during 2026 season
BELLEVUE, Neb. — Bellevue University softball head coach Michala Cimino recorded her 600th career victory during the 2026 season. Cimino, the program's all-time wins leader in her 17th season with the Bruins, entered the year with a record of 581-269-1 and finished with an overall mark of 606-298-1. All 600 victories have come at Bellevue University.
Bellevue finished 25-29 overall and 10-16 in Frontier Conference play. The Bruins advanced to the Frontier Conference Tournament championship game after dropping the opener to Valley City State, 6-5, and winning four consecutive games. Bellevue fell to regular-season champion Dickinson State, 5-4, in the title game, finishing as tournament runner-up.
Junior catcher Marguerite Brown, junior pitcher/outfielder Mariah Unverzagt, and freshman pitcher Carly Bertolini earned all-tournament team honors at the Frontier Conference Tournament.
Cimino notched win No. 600 on April 15 with a 4-3 Frontier Conference home victory over Dakota State at the Renner Dennis Outdoor Athletic Complex.
