Mohler named MCAC Pitcher of the Week
Sophomore Taylor Mohler has been named the MCAC Pitcher of the Week for her performances last week in the National Training Center Spring Games in Clermont, Fla.
POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. -- Sophomore Taylor Mohler has been named the MCAC Pitcher of the Week for her performances last week in the National Training Center Spring Games in Clermont, Fla.
Mohler went 2-2 on the week with a 2.18 ERA and a team-high 32 strikeouts while appearing in six games. She earned wins in the Bruins' two victories over Grace (Ind.), while also garnering a save in Bellevue's 6-4 win over Point Park.
In the March 4 win over Grace, Mohler tossed a complete-game four-hitter with 10 strikeouts and no walks in seven innings of work.
Mohler has now earned the MCAC Pitcher of the Week honor four times during her Bruin career.
The Bruins (8-6) will host Northwestern (Iowa) College on Friday, March 15, in a doubleheader beginning at 4 p.m.
