Marcoux, Keter earn CSC Academic All-District honors
GREENWOOD, Ind. -- Bellevue University senior Richard Marcoux (Omaha, Neb.) and sophomore Alvin Keter (Eldoret, Kenya) have both been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) 2025 Academic All-District Men's Track/Cross Country Team, as announced by the organization earlier today.
Student-athletes competing in men's and women's golf from NCAA Division I, II, and III, as well as the NAIA, were recognized for this honor. To be eligible to receive Academic All-District recognition, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.
Marcoux is pursuing his Master's in Business and Professional Communication and holds a 3.50 GPA in his grad courses. This season, finished third in the NSAA Cross Country Championships with an 8k time of 25:39.9 before going on to win and earn all-NSAA honors in the 3,000-meter (indoor) as well as both the 4x400 (3:25.33) and 4x800 (7:45.29) outdoor relays, setting school records in both events while helping the Bruins to a pair of second place finishes in the relays.
Keter is a Business Administration major and holds a 3.64 GPA, He won both the 5,000-meter and 10,000-meter championships at the NSAA Outdoor Championships, earning all-conference honors in both events. He ran a season best 15:09.67 in the 5,000-meter at the NSAA Outdoor Championships and posted a best time of 31:30.91 in the 10,000-meter race at the Sioux City Relays.
During the fall, the Bruins claimed their first-ever team title at the NSAA Cross Country Championships and followed up with fourth and fifth place finishes in the NSAA Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field Championships, respectively.
