The Bruin Distance Track squad came home with three all-Conference medals at the NSAA outdoor track and field championships hosted by Waldorf University on Thursday and Friday, May 13-14. All-Conference awards are presented to the top three finishers and top relay team at the meet.
The Bellevue University distance track teams completed one final tune-up meet before taking on the North Star Association Meet on May 13-14. A brutal day for distance running with temperatures in the 80’s and steady winds of 25 miles per hour accompanied by gusts up to 40 mpg ruled out chances for personal bests at the Statesmen Relays on the William Penn University campus.
The Bruin men's and women's distance track teams were in action again on Thursday, April 22, as they traveled to Nebraska Wesleyan's Prairie Wolf Invitational. Times continued to fall as three Bruin Bests (school records) were established in cool and breezy conditions.
Perfect conditions for distance running greeted the Bruin distance track squad at the 56th annual running of the Sioux City Relays on the campus of Morningside University in Sioux City. The cool temperatures and light winds produced some fast times, personal bests, and several new school records.
Bruin distance runners turned in a number of big improvements at today’s Concordia Track Invitational in Seward, held in cool and breezy conditions.
A very challenging wind had an impact on results today but the Bruin distance track squad gained more racing experience and lowered three more record marks at today's Bronco Invite in Hastings.
