BARTLESVILLE, Okla. -- Playing their final road game of the regular season, the 24th-ranked Bellevue University men's soccer team fell 3-1 to No. 1-ranked Oklahoma Wesleyan University on Wednesday evening.
Kaden Simpson did his best to keep Bellevue close, making 11 saves in goal as OKWU peppered 27 shots with 14 finding their way on target.
Biel Campo opened the scoring in the 14th minute, scoring off an assist from Ryunsokue Masuzuka.
Jeremiah Hteh scored his sixth goal of the year, an unassisted tally, in the 29th minute to pull Bellevue level where the game remained into halftime.
Julian Tovar put the Eagles back in front in the 49th minute with Nemanja Vukovic and Campo teaming up on the double assist.
Adrian Mejia provided an insurance tally for OKWU in the 73rd minute with Campo again providing the assist.
Bellevue managed just five shots in the match, the only one finding its way on frame was Hteh's goal.
Stefan Schenk earned the win in goal despite not making a save.
Bellevue returns home to the Renner Dennis Athletic Complex on Saturday, Oct. 25 when they host Dakota Wesleyan University for Senior Day.
