Bruins ranked No. 7 in NAIA Preseason Poll
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Bellevue University men's soccer team will begin the 2025 season ranked No. 7 in the NAIA Men's Soccer Preseason Coaches' Poll, released Wednesday by the national office.
Bellevue posted a 16-3-3 overall mark last season, securing their fifth-straight Continental Athletic Conference Tournament Championship. The Bruins qualified for the NAIA National Tournament for the 11th time program history and advanced to the quarterfinal round of the NAIA National Tournament for the third time in five seasons.
Defending National Chapmion Dalton State held the No. 1 spot in the poll, followed by National Runners-Up William Penn. William Carey, Cumberlands, and Oklahoma Wesleyan rounded out the top five.
Bellevue was the sole team from the Continental Athletic Conference appearing in the poll, while Georgia Gwinnett received votes.
The Bruins will be tested early with a top 10 showdown looming against No. 2 William Penn next Wednesday, Aug. 27. Bellevue also has top 25 match-ups at Clarke (Saturday, Aug. 30), against Oklahoma City (Saturday, Sept. 20) and at No. 5 Oklahoma Wesleyan (Wednesday, Oct. 22).
Bellevue opens the 2025 season tomorrow at when they host Doane University in the first regular season game at the Renner Dennis Outdoor Athletic Complex (14202 Harlan Lewis Road, Bellevue, NE).
