PAPILLION, Neb. -- Bellevue was held goalless for the fifth consecutive game in a 3-0 loss to No. 4-ranked Mid-America Christian University on Tuesday afternoon at Papillion Landing.
The loss extends Bellevue's (2-5-2) winless streak to six games, their longest since 2018.
Mid-America Christian improves to 7-1-0 with their fourth-straight victory.
Despite being out-shot 14-4 and conceding a 14-3 edge in corner kicks, Bellevue kept MACU off the scoreboard until having a player sent off.
Jack Price struck for the Evangels in the 78th minute, sliding onto a pass from Rodrigo Albuquerque on the far side and redirecting it into the goal for a 1-0 lead for the visitors.
Just 65 seconds later Albuquerque doubled the MACU lead curling a shot inside the opposite post with an assist to Diego Real.
Cesar Ramirez capped the scoring in the 84th minute, bending a left-footed corner under the cross bar for a 3-0 lead.
Jeremi Abonnel stopped the lone shot on goal he saw to earn the shutout for Mid-America Christian.
Romeo Paparesta totaled four saves for BU in the loss.
Bellevue welcomes #23 Missouri Baptist (5-2-0) to Papillion Landing for 1 p.m. kick-off on Saturday, Sept. 24.
