BU Climbs to Fifth with Strong Final Round at Whistling Straits
SHEBOYGAN, Wis. — Bellevue University trimmed 22 strokes off its opening-round total to move up two spots on the team leaderboard Tuesday, finishing fifth overall at the Whistling Straits Classic. The Bruins carded a 309 team score in the final round to close the 36-hole event at 640 (+64) at the famed Whistling Straits Golf Course (Par 72, 6,924 yards).
Thomas Gatlin, Kyle Dale, and Ludwig Klingspor each led the charge with rounds of 4-over 76. Gatlin recorded 14 pars and a birdie on No. 10, while Dale made three birdies—on holes 2, 5, and 18—and nine pars. Klingspor matched their efforts with 14 pars and a birdie on the par-3 sixth.
Randy Christiansen contributed an 81 (+9) with nine pars and a birdie on No. 6, while Dylan Rodgers added an 83 (+11) highlighted by birdies on holes 5, 13, and 16.
Klingspor led the Bruins individually, tying for 11th place in the 63-player field with a 157 (+13) total. He was followed by Gatlin (T22, 162, +18), Rodgers (T25, 163, +19), Dale (T27, 164, +20), and Christiansen (T31, 165, +21).
As a team, Bellevue finished fifth out of 12 teams, four shots clear of Pikeville and Rio Grande (both +68) and 32 strokes behind tournament champion Taylor University (+32).
Pikeville's Kaeden Anderson claimed medalist honors with a 149 (+5), finishing one stroke ahead of Taylor's Davis Formsma (+6) and two ahead of Taylor's Tanner Conklin (+7).

This event concludes the fall portion of the Bruins' 2025–26 schedule. Bellevue will resume play in the spring season.
