Rodgers nabs second-straight Frontier Conference award
HELENA, Mont. -- Bellevue University junior Dylan Rodgers (Meridian, Idaho) has been recognized at the Frontier Conference Men's Golfer of the Week for the second-straight week following his performance at last week's Mid-South Classic.
Rodgers fired a 54-hole, 2-over (218) performance en route to an 11th place finish in the event held at Sand Creek Station. Bellevue finished sixth in the 18-team field.
Rodgers began the tournament with an even par first round, firing a 72 on Monday morning and followed up with a 1-over 73 in the second round that afternoon. He totaled four birdies on Monday and registered Bellevue's lone eagle of the tournament on the 525-yard, par 5 No. 16. He concluded play on Tuesday with a 1-over 73 and two more birdies.
The award is Rodger's fourth conference Golfer of the Week of his Bruin career.
Bellevue next competes at the Dickinson Fall Invitational which will be played at Heart River Golf Course in Dickinson, N.D. on Monday-Tuesday, Sept. 15-16.
