Rain halts play at U.C. Ferguson Classic
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. -- Due to continuous rain in the Oklahoma City area, the Bruins were only able to complete nine holes of the opening round of the season-opening U.C. Ferguson Classic. The tournament, which was originally scheduled to be a three-round 54-hole affair, has been reduced to 36 holes. It is being played at the par-71, 6,576-yard Lincoln Park Golf Course.
The Bruins are currently in 11th place in the 12-team field.
Dylan Rodgers and Kyle Dale are both at 1-over par after nine holes. Rodgers had one birdie on the front nine. Dale's steady start included seven straight pars.
Ludwig Klingspor is currently 3-over. His opening nine holes were sparked by a pair of birdies.
Randy Christiansen is 4-over par. He birdied the par-5, 535-yard seventh hole.
Newcomers Emilio Morales and Martin Hempston, who are both competing as individuals, are 1-over and 3-over, respectively.
