Wynne named second-team NAIA All-American
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Bellevue University's Cayden Wynne has been named a second-team NAIA All-American for the 2024-25 season, as announced today by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
Wynne, a senior from Lincoln, Neb., helped lead the Bruins to a seventh-place team finish at the 2025 NAIA Men's Golf National Championship, held at the TPC at Deere Run in Silvis, Ill. It marked Bellevue's 12th appearance at the national tournament in program history.
He finished tied for 31st individually, posting rounds of 79–71–70 for a 220 (+7) total.
Over the 2024-25 campaign, Wynne led Bellevue with a 73.5 scoring average across 34 rounds, competing in all 12 tournaments. He earned NSAA Golfer of the Year honors and was named first-team all-NSAA. Wynne also received NSAA Golfer of the Week recognition twice (March 18, April 15).
Wynne won individual medalist honors at the North Star Athletic Association Championship, firing rounds of 71–65–73–68—277 (-9) to help Bellevue claim its eighth NSAA title. He also earned individual titles at the Midwest Spring National Invite and Crestview Spring Invitational, both with scores of 209 (-7). Additional top finishes included a second-place showing at the Flyer Intercollegiate and a tie for fifth at the Whistling Straits Championship.
Wynne opened the season with a 215 (+2) at the UC Ferguson Classic, tying for 24th as Bellevue finished second as a team.
The second-team NAIA All-American recognition is the 15th All-American honor in program history.
