Wynne named NSAA Golfer of the Week
BISMARCK, N.D. -- For the second time this season and the third time in his BU career, senior Cayden Wynne has been named the North Star Athletic Association Men's Golfer of the Week for his performance at last week's 13-team Midwest Spring Invitational in Manhattan, Kan.
Wynne won the individual title in the 71-player field by eight strokes, shooting 7-under, going under par in two of three rounds, and shooting par in the final round. He helped guide the Bruins to their first team championship of the year.
For the tournament, Wynne bogeyed just two holes while collecting birdies on 14 holes.
The Bruins return to the links on Monday-Tuesday, Apr. 28-29, when they host the final two rounds of the North Star Athletic Association Championship at Woodland Hills Golf Club in Eagle, Neb. The first two rounds were played in the fall at CrossRoads Golf Club in Carrington, N.D. The Bruins enter the third and fourth rounds with an 18-stroke advantage over second-place University of Jamestown.
