Oosterhof wins second NSAA Golfer of the Week honor
For the second time this season and the fifth time in his career Floris-Jan Oosterhof was named the North Star Athletic Association Men's Golfer of the Week for his performance last week in guiding the Bruins to the title at the Indiana Wesleyan Fall Invitational.
BISMARCK, Neb. -- For the second time this season and the fifth time in his career Floris-Jan Oosterhof was named the North Star Athletic Association Men's Golfer of the Week for his performance last week in guiding the Bruins to the title at the Indiana Wesleyan Fall Invitational.
Oosterhof fired a third-round 3-under par score of 69 to lead Bellevue back from a 3-stroke deficit to a 9-stroke victory in the IWU Fall Invitational (par-72; 7,213-yards). He shot an even-par 72 in the first round, followed by a 1-over-par 73 in the second round. Oosterhof accumulated a total of 214 strokes in the tournament, finishing at 2-under par. He finished second in the 42-player field.
The win was the Bruins' fifth-straight team title of the season.
Bellevue will be idle until next February.
