Men's golf places fourth at Claude Jacobs Invitational

Results

VICTORIA, Texas -- The Bellevue University men's golf team finished in a tie for fourth place with Grand View University in the final round of the Claude Jacobs Invitational at the Victoria Country Club on Monday.

The Bruins finished the three-round tournament with a total score of 904.

Oklahoma City University won the team title by two strokes over Texas Wesleyan University with a final score of 880.

Anthony Marchesani (OCU) won the individual title with a five-under-par score of 211.

Nicolas Herrera, who finished in a tie for fifth individually, led the Bruins with scores of 72-75-74 for a two-day total of 221.

Jose Vega tied for 20th place after firing rounds of 75-75-76 (226) while Tomas Ovejero placed in a tie for 22nd after scores of 72-79-76 for a total of 227.

Other BU golfers included Enrique Jaramillo (80-80-73--233) and Nicolas Handal (85-77-78--240).

The BU men's golf team will return to action on March 3-4 when they participate in the Contender in Las Colinas, Texas at the TPC Four Seasons.
