Men's Golf in fourth place at Viking Classic

ANKENY, Iowa -- The Bellevue University men's golf team is in fourth place after the first round of the Grand View Viking Classic at Otter Creek Golf Club in Ankeny, Iowa.

Javier Franco and Jeff Shermoen each shot scores of 72 to lead the Bruins. Tanner Alder and Warren Martin both had first round scores of 74.

Grand View leads the tournament with a score of 278. Belleve is 14 strokes behind after an opening round of 292.

The tournament will conclude on Tuesday with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start.
