Five from BU land on Men's Basketball Academic All-Conference squad
HELENA, Mont. -- Five Bellevue University men's basketball student-athletes have earned Frontier Conference Academic All-Conference honors, the league office announced today.
Bellevue's honorees include:
- Jake Lenagh, graduate student, Master of Business Administration
- Connor Mohr, freshman, Business Administration
- Sandor Rodriguez, senior, Psychology
- Elijah Sherwood, freshman, Cybersecurity
- Liam Thompson, junior, Sport Management
To qualify for the honor, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore in academic standing and maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher.
The Bruins finished second in the Frontier's regular season standings with a 17-5 mark in conference play (22-6 overall). Their 22 victories are the most for the program since the 2016-17 team reached the NAIA National Tournament Semifinals. BU has won 8 of their last 11 to bring momentum into this weekend's Frontier Conference Tournament, scheduled for Feb. 27-Mar. 2 in Butte, Mont. at the Butte Civic Center.
BU begins postseason play on Friday at 8:30 p.m. (CT) against seventh-seeded Montana State University-Northern in the quarterfinals of the tournament.
