KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Bellevue University baseball senior first baseman Steven Elsner (San Francisco, Calif.) has been named a Third Team NAIA All-American today by the NAIA-Baseball Coaches' Association All-America Committee. He was also recognized as a Third Team ABCA/Rawlings NAIA All-American by the American Baseball Coaches' Association (ABCA) and Rawlings Sporting Goods.
Elsner led the team in numerous offensive categories, including: batting average (.386), on-base percentage (.472), slugging percentage (.838), OPS (1.310), hits (76), runs (70), doubles (18), home runs (23), and RBI (65).
His single-season home run total ranked second in the BU record book and his slugging percentage was good for fourth. Additionally, his 42 extra-base hits and his OPS were good for seventh on the single season charts, and his runs scored were good for ninth.
For his two-year career, Elsner hit .372 with 1.259 OPS that saw him slug .813 with and on-base percentage of .447. He tallied 137 hits, 76 extra-base hits, 32 doubles, 42 home runs, 115 runs scored, and 127 RBI. On the career charts, Elsner ranks: No. 1 in slugging percentage, No. 2 in OPS, No. 3 in home runs, No. 9 in extra-base hits, No. 11 in total bases (299), No. 12 in RBI, and No. 18 in doubles. He is one of just 19 players to both score 100+ runs and drive in 100+ runs.
The selection of Elsner as a Third Team All-American marks the 15th-straight season in which Bellevue has had an All-American representative.
Bellevue finished the 2025 season with a 40-15 overall record, going 19-1 in NSAA play to capture both the regular season and tournament titles for the third-straight season. The Bruins, made their 27th appearance in the NAIA National Tournament when they played in the Opening Round – Upland Bracket.
