Bruins make adjustments to MNU series
BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Bellevue University baseball coach Duane Monlux has announced that this weekend's series against MidAmerica Nazarene will now be played Thursday, Mar. 13 and Friday, Mar. 14 instead of Friday-Saturday as it was originally scheduled.
The series begins at noon on Thursday with a double-header featuring a scheduled seven-inning opener and nine-inning nightcap. It will conclude on Friday with first pitch scheduled for noon.
The Bruins and Pioneers have each played in two of the last three Avista NAIA World Series in Lewiston, Idaho. Bellevue leads the all-time series, which dates to 2012, three games to two. The teams most recently met in the 2022 World Series with Bellevue edging MNU 5-4.
Bellevue enters this weekend's series with an overall record of 8-8 with wins in six of their last eight games, while MNU comes into play having won seven-straight with an overall mark of 11-4.
