BU baseball to host third-straight NAIA Opening Round
Bellevue University has been chosen to host one of the ten 2023 NAIA Baseball National Championship Opening Round Sites, the third-straight year in which the Bruins will host the event at Don Roddy Field on the campus of Bellevue East High School.

BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Bellevue University has been chosen to host one of the ten 2023 NAIA Baseball National Championship Opening Round Sites, as announced by the NAIA National Office on Monday afternoon.
The Bruins will host the NAIA Opening Round – Bellevue Bracket, scheduled for May 15-18, at Don Roddy Field on the campus of Bellevue East High School. The Opening Round will be either a four- or five-team, double-elimination format.
This will be Bellevue's fifth time hosting an Opening Round, having previously done so in 2015, 2017, 2021, and 2022. Bellevue won last year's Opening Round to reach their 15th Avista NAIA World Series after having reached the championship round in each of the other three seasons. Four different schools have won Opening Rounds hosted by BU; Tabor (2015), Science & Arts (2017), Concordia (2021), and Bellevue (2022).
Bellevue wrapped up the regular-season with a 41-8 overall record, going 25-3 in NSAA play to secure their fourth-straight NSAA Regular-Season Championship. BU is the top seed in this weekend's NSAA Tournament which begins Friday, May 5 in Dickinson, N.D.
The field for the Bellevue Bracket, along with the other nine Opening Round sites, will be announced on the NAIA Baseball National Championship Selection Show on Thursday, May 11 at 4 p.m.
