Bruins climb to No. 5 in third Coaches' Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Bellevue University baseball team moved up to No. 5 in the NAIA Coaches' Poll, released on Wednesday morning.
The Bruins have won 19 of 20 overall and nine of 10 since the last set of rankings came out. BU is 12-0 in NSAA play, tied atop the league standings with Dakota State (21-12).
As a team, Bellevue is averaging 9.4 runs per game while hitting .339 with a 1.006 OPS. The pitching staff has posted a 4.45 ERA and striking out 8.5 batters per nine innings to go along with a 1.37 WHIP.
Bellevue hosts Waldorf University this weekend for a four game series at John Stella Field at Brown Park. First pitch is slated for 1 p.m. on Friday and noon on Saturday.
