Lee (Tenn.) University will enter 2012 as the top-ranked team after capturing the 2011 NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship last season.
The Bruins return 16 letterwinners and eight starters from last year's team that finished with a 14-2-3 overall record, advancing to the NAIA National Tournament for the second-straight season after capturing the MCAC regular season and tournament title. The Bruins finished the 2011 season with a No. 18 final national ranking.
Four-time MCAC Coach of the Year Andy Nicolarsen is in his ninth season at the helm of the Bellevue University women's soccer program in 2012. He has a 108-43-11 (.701) in eight seasons at BU.
BU opens the season on Aug. 25-26 when it travels to Des Moines, Iowa for the Grand View Classic.
