MADISON, S.D. -- For the second consecutive week, senior Fernando Arzate has earned North Star Athletic Association Golfer of the Week honors for his performances in two separate events last week. 

Arzate competed in the Nebraska Intercollegiate Classic at the Norfolk Country Club last Saturday and in the Bent Tree Intercollegiate on Monday in Council Bluffs. 

Arzate capped the week by winning the individual title at the Bent Tree Intercollegiate, finishing with a 36-hole total of 1-over par with rounds of 74 and 71. There were 38 individuals competing in the tournament. 

In the weather-shortened Nebraska Intercollegiate, Arzate finished in a tie for 12th place after firing a 3-over par 75 in the tournament's only round. 

Arzate is currently second on the team, averaging 72.77 strokes per round this season. 

The Bruins will travel to Kohler, Wis. on Oct. 16-17 to participate in the Whistling Straights Intercollegiate Championship.
