Castillo named to all-Canadian college team

Right-handed pitcher Luis Castillo (Burlington, Ontario) was named to the 10th annual all-Canadian college first team selected today by CanadianBaseballNetwork.com. Castillo, who will be a senior during the spring 2010 season, is a native of Burlington, Ontario.
The select team honors the best of the 711 Canadians playing south of the border at NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA and NJCAA Schools.
Castillo earned first team all-MCAC honors last season while appearing in a team-leading 19 games with nine starts. He registered an 8-2 record and a 3.44 ERA with a team-high 89 strikeouts in 68 innings pitched.
The Bruins begin the 2010 season on Feb. 13-14 when they travel to Kansas City, Mo. for four games against St. Ambrose and Avila.
